OUR WYOMING RANCHING HERITAGE

The Wyoming and ranching roots for David Fales began in 1918 when his great-grandparents, grandparents and 9-month-old father left Missouri to homestead in Deaver, Wyoming. Here they cleared sagebrush, planted crops, and raised cattle within a pristine, rugged environment. David was born in Cody, Wyoming, and lived nearby on a farm and cattle-feeding operation in Powell, Wyoming, where he assisted his father in raising and feeding grain-fed cattle and gained great respect for the Wyoming ranchers who endure bitter cold and all types of weather to raise great cattle.

THE DREAM

David Fales, founder of Wyoming Authentic Products, first began dreaming about being in the cattle and ranching business when he had an assignment in the eighth grade to write about what he wanted

to do when he grew up. Although his expansive business career took him into all major cities within the U.S. and also into Canada, Mexico, and Europe ̶ which provided him valuable sales and marketing experience ̶ his desire to return to his native Wyoming roots and eighth-grade dream never left him.

David always loved Wyoming and always loved cattle! Remembering the delicious beef he ate when he was growing up, he was passionate about providing this same consistently great-tasting, nutritious beef to others. He became increasingly intrigued with

the idea of launching the”Wyoming Gourmet Beef” branded, specialty beef business to leverage the rich Western heritage of the state’s ranching industry, while also addressing consumers’ concerns about the origin, quality, and safety of their food. David’s dream has now become a reality, which he is sharing with others!

COMPANY BACKGROUND

Over his business career, which was primarily in the food industry, David lived and worked in Los Angeles, California; Boston, Massachusetts; Columbus, Mississippi; Houston, Texas; Salinas, California and Boise, Idaho. However, he returned to Cody, Wyoming in 2009 to help his elderly father. When his father passed away, David decided to stay in Cody and establish his own company, Wyoming Authentic Products. He believes this company, featuring Wyoming Gourmet Beef, will benefit the entire ranching and beef industry in the State of Wyoming.

Joining the ranks of other readily recognized state foods ̶ such as “Famous Idaho Potatoes,” “Maine Lobster,” “Wisconsin Cheese,” “Georgia Peaches,” “Washington Apples,” “Florida Oranges,” and “New York Cheesecake,” David now wants to put Wyoming Gourmet Beef on the map where it rightfully belongs in the food industry. We hope Wyoming Gourmet Beef will be your beef of choice for its nutritional benefits, delicious flavor, tenderness, and rich Western heritage!
